I used StriVectin Instant Facial Sculpting Cream on my face and neck; waited 5 minutes then used RoC Retinol Correxion Deep Wrinkle Cream over it as my moisturizer.
Gradually throughout the day my neck began to feel itchy. It's now 4 a.m. and my neck is red; itchy; feels like there are little welts under the skin; plus the area under my eyebrows is swollen over my eyelids.
The only allergy I've EVER had is to the adhesive in latex band-aids.
Could this be StriVectin or is it the combo of StriVectin and the RoC cream? Couldn't find any articles on allergic reactions to StriVectin. Can you help?
Thanks.

Hi Elaine,
Ooo…that sounds miserable. I hope you have some OTC cortisone cream handy to soothe the itching, swelling and redness. If the rash doesn’t improve quickly, please get to a doctor or walk-in clinic ASAP.
I’m not a doctor but it certainly does sound like an allergic reaction. Could you have come into contact with any latex? It’s difficult to avoid. Plus it’s an allergy that worsens with repeated exposure.
There’s nothing in either skin product you mention that remotely resembles latex, but there are a couple of ingredients in each cream that some people are allergic to. However, parabens and fragrances are so commonly found in skin care products, that you would likely have known already if you are.
I hope you’re feeling better by the time you receive my response.
Regards,
Jean
