If you missed My Sisley Makeover Story, click on the link to catch up.
The generous bunch of samples which the store gave with my purchase allowed me to try several other skin care products. My overall impression, after review of the ingredient lists, is that the formulas are like those a startup skin care company might concoct in a home kitchen. Several fine companies started that way. However to remain successful, they had to move beyond the kitchen to the lab.
Though Sisley has been in business for over 30 years, they still seem to be stuck in the kitchen. The formulas are mostly water, waxes and botanicals. There are some good antioxidant botanicals, but also some that are skin irritants.
Since you’re reading Ageless Beauty, I assume you’re looking for skin care products which have anti-aging ingredients. Apart from one of its sun protection products with SPF 30 and the (non-irritating) antioxidants, Sisley has none.
All the skin creams and serums I tried have a very heavy herbal scent. Some smelled refreshing at first but I quickly tired of the odor.
Come back tomorrow for my Comments on the Sisley Skin Care products I tested.
