Mitsubishi will premiere its ASX compact crossover at the 80th Geneva Motor Show in March. The ASX is the European version of the Japanese market RVR, which will go on sale next month. MMC’s small SUV seats five and will slot below the recently redesigned Outlander, now with Lancer style shark nose.

The Euro-spec ASX will come with an all-new Euro 5 ready 1.8-litre turbocharged direct-injection diesel engine, jointly developed by MMC and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. Featuring “Automatic Stop & Go” technology with a 6-speed manual transmission, the ASX is said to be very good for economy and emissions.

Mitsubishi Grandis dan Strada Triton Terfavorit Pilihan Pembaca Autocar Indonesia

PT. Krama Yudha Tiga Berlian Motors (KTB), Agen Tunggal Kendaraan Mitsubishi di Indonesia dari Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) dan Mitsubishi Fuso Truck & Bus Corporation (MFTBC) mengumumkan bahwa Mitsubishi Grandis dan Strada Triton telah terpilih sebagai kendaraan favorit versi AUTOCAR Indonesia Reader’s Choice Awards 2008 (ARCA 2008).

Pada acara ARCA 2008 yang diselenggarakan pada tanggal 12 Februari 2008 bertempat di 9 Clouds – Menara Jamsostek, kendaraan Mitsubishi berhasil meraih 2 (dua) dari 23 penghargaan mobil terfavorit, yaitu Mitsubishi Grandis sebagai Favorit Luxury MPV dan Mitsubishi Strada Triton sebagai Favorit Double Cabin.

Penghargaan untuk Grandis diserahkan dari Pemimpin Redaksi AUTOCAR, Irmawan Poedjoadi kepada Presiden Direktur KTB, Fumio Kuwayama. Sementara penghargaan untuk Strada Triton diserahkan kepada Direktur Pemasaran KTB, Rizwan Alamsjah dari Wakil Pemimpin Redaksi AUTOCAR, Octo Budhiarto.

Mitsubishi Grandis merupakan kendaraan Luxury MPV yang diluncurkan KTB pada Februari 2005 sebagai kendaraan keluarga masa kini yang bergengsi dengan disain yang unik, stylish dengan perlengkapan yang mewah.

Sementara Strada Triton diluncurkan pada Mei 2007 sebagai varian tambahan dari Mitsubishi Strada yang telah ada untuk memenuhi pasar kendaraan 4x4 yang lebih nyaman untuk digunakan di dalam kota, dan juga memiliki kemampuan prima yang tangguh dan handal untuk digunakan di medan off-road.

Terbukti, kehadiran Strada Triton telah mampu membuat Mitsubishi menempati posisi pertama di kelas kendaraan Pick Up Small 4x4 dengan pangsa pasar sebesar 53.1% pada penutupan penjualan tahun 2007 lalu.

Penghargaan ini melengkapi penghargaan yang diterima Strada Triton pada tahun sebelumnya sebagai Best Double Cabin versi Indonesian Car Of The Year (ICOTY) 2007 yang diselenggarakan oleh majalah MOBILMOTOR, serta penghargaan yang diterima Grandis pada ICOTY 2006 sebagai Best Premium MPV juga pada 14th Indonesian International Motor Show 2006 sebagai Best Car Non-Premium MPV.
