Going All Out Purple! ^^

I deciced to do the All Out Purple Look, using the newly arrived stuff from my fave seller, Lina! Here they are:

Zamian Magic Cacao Whitening BB Cream

The color is light brown with a bit greyish shade, kinda like Dr. Jart’s BB Cream.. The only difference with Dr. Jart is that the Zamian one has a sheerer finish and more blendable to your skin.. ^^

The texture is very runny and light, but it’s very easy to blend.. ^^

Voila! It gives me a dewy look.. Kinda you-just-got-up-from-bed-look, very fresh and glowy.. The coverage is medium, but it’s buildable.. The Zamian BB Cream is specially made for oily-acne prone skin, so I don’t have many complaints about it, except it’s kinda hard to cover my hot red blemishes.. >_< (due to hormonal acne, what can I do??)

The scent is soft floral, not like chocolate at all.. Too bad cause I was hoping it would smell like a dark chocolate.. (the Zamian mask smells like chocolate, see the review here)

For the whitening property, I can say that it does whiten my face 1 shade lighter (maybe because I’m fair already so I can’t tell), but it’s really brightening! Like there’s a light coming out of my face, muahahahahaha.. :P

It’s an Eyelash Curler! Yay! I’ve been wanting for a long time.. :) It’s electric so it’ll need 2 AAA batteries (sold separately).. And it’s PINK! ^^ OK, a closer look.. See that pink rubber to curl the eyelashes? After it’s hot, it will turn into white, took about a minute or so to do that.. Reminding me of a hair curler, also uses heat to make the hair curl.. Same theory la.. :)

Time to test it out! ^^ It’s turning to white, see?

You can’t really tell from the picture, but it really curl my lashes! Bad angle, sorry.. :( Because it’s using heat so the curl really lasts and really easy to apply mascara on.. Personally I’m happy with this eyelash curler and really save my time, not to mention so practical! ^^

FOTD: Creamy nudes

I tried my new Topshop Skin Tint today. I chose the "Light" shade. It is a sheer base so doesn't give an opaque coverage, but it felt very moisturising. You only need a small pump from the tube to do the whole face. Was a bit greasy after a whole day, so perhaps might dust it down with my BareMinerals Mineral Veil to set it tomorrow.

Was a bit over-zealous with the Tint though, so my cheeks are a bit "glowy", ahem... It lasts very well, a bit too well - I can still see the Tint after taking my makeup off. I may just stick to doing the lips where it lasts very well!

For my eyes I chose the Isadora eye shadow palette "59 Creamy Nudes", it's a lovely palette with 5 matte, silky nudes. Thank you, Mum! Applying them over BareMinerals Eye Primer makes them look freshly applied even 10hrs later after a long day at work, a walk home in the occasional sleet shower and a trip to score a new dining table! :)

A Piece of Me.. Happy Easter! ^^ + New Hair

Hallo everyone! First of all, Happy Easter! ^^

I know.. I haven’t posted in this blog for such a long time.. Almost 3 weeks already.. Aiyo.. >_<

I’m so sorry.. Life has been so hectic lately and I’ve so caught up with everything..

*I don’t like: I’ll have to face my upcoming thesis soon! Oh and my internship.. Oh gosh.. T_T

*I’ve planned: to have my internship on a TV station at Jakarta.. Let’s just hope that they’ll accept me.. Fingers crossed.. v(^_^)v

*I want you to know: that… I’ve changed my hair color!  Tadaaaa… ^_^

Garnier no 253 Golden Mahogany Brown

The result was quite satisfying.. My hair is brown now, without reddish reflects as the ads were saying.. ^^ Maybe next time I’ll look for a more lighter brown color!

after the coloring process, as you all know, we’re not supposed to wash our hair for 3 days.. So after that I decided to go to the salon and gave my hair a little treatment.. ^^  I did a hair mask, and the mask smells good! Like a fruity shampoo, hehe.. :) And the result after the blow-dry.. You can see from pretty hair right here.. ^^ Smooth and bouncy! (I’m starting to sound like a shampoo commercial, hahaha…)

Okay another angle.. I wore minimum makeup that day, you can see my face is slowly recovering..  Thanks to the Zinc supplement.. (I saw it on Kalmo’s blog) and lots of prayers of course, hehe.. :) I’m trying to reduce the stress level this month..so my naughty naughty acne will calm down.. ^^

Barbie Eye Hyper Lens Adult Blue Review+ Alice in Wonderland EOTD! ^^

It was all started on Facebook..

When I saw this picture, I knew I just couldn’t resist.

So, I made the PO/ Pre-Order about 2 months ago, and it took so long to get it because it has to be custom-made since I’m cylinder(astigmatism)-minus. But! After the long wait, the time has finally come, haha.. I received my lens 2 days ago! ^^

What’s in there?? Yuhuuu.. Blue Penguin! ^^

It’s my soft lens! Freshly imported from South Korea! The land of Super Junior, BoA, TVXQ, 2NE1, oh and.. many more.. haha.. I just love K-Pop music! ^^

Ok la, let’s continue with the review.. :)

You can see the lens over there.. The blue color is not too dark, but not too light either.. The diameter is  14.2 mm and the water content is 42%.. It says it can make your eyes look bigger.. Let’s just see about that! ^^

For the refreshing solution.. I bought this one, and it’s also made in South Korea.. I think the formula is great, 6 in 1! Remove the protein, clean, soak, sterilize, kill germs and moist. No irritation so far. And it’s pretty cheap too! It’s Rp 30.000,- or $3 for 120+40 ml!

     And this is for the lens drops.. Really refreshing and cooling to my eyes! I use it once every hour, because I’m still new to contact lens, I try to care for my eyes better! ^^

When I tried to wear the lens, I was nervous. It’s my 1st time to try to really wear contact lens, so it’s kinda scaring me. I mean, what if my eyes become irritated or tearing all the time? What if I drop the lens? What if, what if, what if… haih.. >_<

But with all my strength and courage, I put the lens on. It took about 15 minutes until it’s finally placed safe and sound. Phew!   ~_~'

*The soft lens review*

I think the lens is very pretty, I love the blue color.. Matches with my skin and makes my face more radiant. My eyes look bigger too! Many of my college friends wear contact lens too, but most of them wear the neutral brown color.. While me, the risk-taker and adventurer, I challenge myself to wear blue! And I think I succeed to rock this look, haha.. :)

But, there is one thing funny happened when I tried to wear it for the first time.

Well, when I put my RIGHT lens, my vision was clear, OK, no problem.. But when I put my LEFT lens, my vision was suddenly blur… What?? I tried to blink a few times, but still blur.. Hmm.. I thought, is something wrong ya? I checked the lens prescription, everything was right. So what could it be?

So, if you can guess it, what I did do next?

Yup, I googled it.. hehe..

And I found, this thing could have happened because of various reasons, but one of them, is because you placed them the backwards (flipped the wrong way). Haih.. My bad, I’m a newbie, hehe.. :P So I removed it, cleaned it one more time and put my lens the right way.. And my vision is clear.. Finally! v(^_^)v

It takes some time to adjust my eyes with the lens, but I read it also it’s normal to most people.. I can feel there’s something's in my eyes.. it’s not nagging me, but it did feel kinda awkward at first, haha.. It seems my eyes were saying: “Hey! What’s this strange thing hanging on me??” :P

After trying the lens for a half an hour, I can barely feel I’m wearing any lens, but I did miss the feeling wearing glasses on my face. When I wanted to fix my glasses, I realized, “Oh ya, I’m wearing soft lens now!” haha.. ^^

I’ve been wearing this lens for 2 days, and so far, I feel good! But the only thing bothering me is when I used the lens at night while I’m driving, I saw the car light and the road light look like flaming! My cylinder eyes are very sensitive with light.. *sigh* But it didn’t disturb my driving, thank goodness, I could still drive normally. So, I only wear it for daytime, and not too long, less then 8 hours per day. Also, I bring the lens drop in my bag, so I can use it as often as I can. The weather in Indonesia is hot and humid, I don’t want my lens and eyes get dry, yes??? ^^

Well, that’s it for the soft lens review.. But since I’m in such a good mood today, I will share another review and EOTD! The review is about one of my recent beauty purchase, based on what Sarah from http://glossicious.blogspot.com/ recommended me for a highlighter powder, so I bought this! ^^

NYX Highlighter Mosaic Powder MPB 01

What a  lovely mosaic colors! ^^

I must say, thank you Sarah for recommending me this, I love it! ^^

This highlighter gave me the ‘polished’ look and made my skin look fresh! The powder feels soft on my skin, not heavy.. And if you noticed, the purple and pink color hides my redness pretty well.. :) While the yellow, brown and white is good for highlighting effect. The price is affordable too, around $13. Happy wallet for me! ^^

   L-R: Maybelline Unstoppable Curly Extension Mascara in Black, MAC Moon Reflection Veluxe Pearl Eyeshadow (what a poetic name!) for the lid, Lavhusca Eyeshadow PK-1 (used the top left one for shimmer highlighting) and Palgantong Eye Liner Pencil in Pearl White.

I’m so happy! My eyes look pretty with blue! Reminded me of Alice in Wonderland.. (I wanna see the movie, too!) ^^

New Year Means New Nails! Fing’rs Nail Review!

I got a very lovely package last week.. :)

Wuah! So many.. I’m so happy! ^^

 

A representative from Fing’rs, Christine contacted me and asked me to review their products. I said yes, and she sent me this lovely products! Check out the website, here.

Let’s have a closer look, shall we? ^^

Flirt Nail Art, it can be used on your nail and toes.. Super cute! I like the pink flowers.. Kawaii.. ^^

The Nail Grinder, it has 4 way nails file, my mom used it, and she thinks the quality is quite good! ^^

Fing’rs Brush-On Nail Glue, the writing says: Superior Bonding for a good reason! It does have a very strong bonding power.. ^^

This is the Beverly Hills Chic, I think it has a really elegant and feminine look.. Perfect for night event! ^^

Santa Cruz Sparkle, while my mom like this one the best, I think this would be the perfect classic French manicure, but in my opinion,  it’s too plain for me. I like something more lively and stand out, I would like to add some more bling-bling on it! Yeah! ^^

Ooh Laguna is my fave!! It has a hint of sparkle there and pink flower.. ^^ Have I told you I love pink? Oh well, maybe not for the thousand times, haha.. I’m gonna test this one out! ^^

Fing’rs Edge, the design is more edgy and rocker chick-style.. I never wear a pattern like this before on my nails, the last time I used black nail polish, I immediately removed it after 5 minutes. Black nail polish is not really my thing, but I think this one might stand a chance! It’s cute and have a combination of pink and black..  Just hit me with anything pink in it and I’m hooked, haha.. ^^

 

Alright then, just like what I tell you above, since the moment when I received it is right on time for Chinese New Year, I chose “Ooh Laguna”; a French Manicure set with flowery details and a hint of sparkle there.. It’s like cherry blossom! My fave, hehe.. ^^

Let’s see the inside..

In total it contains 24 false nails, 15 are at the bottom and 9 more are above the small pink gel glue bottle as you see up there.

The false nails are made of plastic, a very strong plastic, if I may say. The texture is almost close to the our actual nail, but it’s more lightweight and a bit thinner.

It also has the press-nail tabs application. It’s sort of a double tape sticker so that the false nail can stick to it.

Click to zoom. Everything else is explained there. Important: How to remove the glue-on nails: soak it up in acetone or nail polish remover.

I tested it and it worked! So easy.. ^^

OK, this is my natural nails. Kinda dull and boring, right?

The nail polish was all cleaned up, I washed my hand properly, so that there’s no germs attached whatsoever. Hygiene first! ^^

I’m using the Brush-On Nail Glue.. For convenient sake, thank you.. The glue’s texture is kinda like the base coat for nail polish. Clear and lightweight. The bottle is so cute, reminded me with my old tipe-ex bottle that I used in elementary school, haha! :P

I’m still new to this, so I tried to be as careful as I could, very sloooowly, hehe.. I think I managed to make it nicely attached there! ^^

Important note: find the perfect match false nails for you nails first, then apply the glue nail. This way the glue nails won’t get dry when you put the false nails. The glue nails dry up and bond so fast!

The result: Look pretty, yes? v(^_^)v But you can see there are still excess glue that I accidentally spread on the skin around my nails, hehe.. I got a little nervous when I tried to apply it, but I’ll try to be better next time!

Long Run Test: I’ve been testing this “Ooh Laguna” for approximately 6 days straight, from last Sunday, Feb 14th (CNY) till this Friday, Feb 19th. Let me start with the facts first: the nails stays very nicely on me, although on the 3rd day, the first false nail fell off. At that moment I was doing my own laundry, so I guess that makes sense, haha.. :) On the 5th day, the 1st rhinestone was missing when I try to wear my jeans. Lesson for me, try to be more careful when using false nails, hehe.. ^^ Other than that, it’s safe and sound. The nails stick firmly on me and didn’t chip. The length is just the right length for me, not too long, not too short. And speaking of long nails, if I see the Japanese gyaru girl in the magazines wearing their super long and sparkly nail, I often wonders, “Wow! The nails look so kawaii! But if I wear those, how am I gonna do the laundry and do the dishes then? haha..” So I guess this one works for me perfectly. New Year means New Nails indeed! ^^

Also after the CNY, when I went to campus and showcasing my new nails, my friends keep telling me: “Did you just get your nails done?” or “So cute!!” or “You just went from a beauty nail salon, right? Ooohh, that must be very expensive!” These statements are true and they really said it. Made me so.. blushing..hehe.. :)

I’m really excited with my nails so I asked my mom to join in the fun.. Come and see how her nails look with the Santa Cruz Sparkle!

So cute! It’s not too overpowering..subtle yet still very elegant.. ^^

Also I tried the Beverly Hills Chic, the design is really sophisticated.. Love it!
