NOTD: Bourjois "Rose Caraibes"

I really needed something pink today but I again settled for something else as I didn't fancy ANY of my pinks.... I don't really know what kind of pink I want but I know it must be out there...

This is 4 coats of this polish, it needs it as it is sheer. It has a nice green duochrome to it, but it doesn't seem to stick on camera so I got a slightly blurry photo to show the green duochrome and one of the actual base colour of the polish.

NOTD: Bourjois "4"

I needed something speedy today so I picked out this glass fleck nude. This is 2 coats but I think I should've done 3... Nevermind! This is a nice superbly sparkly nude which will go with any of my new outfits tomorrow :)

Must be off - got Windows updates to manage!

Not-so-sudden Obsession for Pink! + Bourjois Lipstick Review

OK, the title above is so true, when I visited the mall today, I realized that I have a (well, not so) sudden obsession for pink hair accessories. Just like when I was a kid. My eyes go wild when I see those little trinkets here and there, I wanted to buy them all! ^^ But thank goodness I can control myself and just bought these..

 trinkets

Well, it’s not too much, isn’t it?? LOL.. When I was browsing the stuff, people must be thinking I’m buying these for my little sister, hahaha.. They must be surprised if they know that these are for ME! muahahaha.. ^^ (ps: I don’t have a little sister, just Josh, my lil bro, hehe..)

Here are the closer look of them..

bow These bows are my faveee.. It’s pink! ^^

cute These have lace in it, very cute.. ^^

cutee Oh my, they’re too kawaii!! ^^

acc 3 different colors! I love them all.. ^^

Here’s the pic of me wearing the bows.. Yes, I just dyed my hair, but it doesn’t really shown in here, huh?? More fotd next after the review! ^^

Bourjois Dr. Glamour Lipstick in Rose requinque no. 17

The descripstion from the website:

“Dr Glamour

The perfect prescription!
Intensive moisturising lipstick.

With Docteur Glamour, the innovative formula contains a triple effect that gets to work as soon as it's applied. Benefit from an intensive moisturizing effect, achieved by blending two moisturizing, ultra-nourishing vegetable oils, mango butter and shea butter, giving you hours of moisture in one application. Smooth and rich, it glides on in an instant. The collection of shades is enriched with reflective pearls and coats your lips in soft and radiant color.”

About the texture, hmm.. the lipstick does feel a bit creamy to me.. It glides on easily on my lips. Really moisturizing, yes.. And the color: I love the color! ^^ It’s the Barbie Pink color that I’ve always wanted, hehe.. =) Here are the close up and swatches:

In reality, it’s a bit paler than this, sorry for the bad lighting.. =P lipp You can see it’s a bit creamy, right? So it’s not matte at all.

Well, I think it’s a very nice lipstick, but it doesn’t really last long enough on me.. I’m not sure, but maybe because it’s so hot these days so my lips tend to get dry faster.. To solve this, I just use lipbalm under it, and it’s good to go! ^^

Will I repurchase again? Yes! But in a different color, of course.. ^^ I want to try something peachy next time.. =)

OK, so this is my FOTD wearing this lipstick, I got a few bumps on my cheeks! =P

And this is the another one, different lighting.. ^^

Oh wait, I want to introduce you there’s the new BFF in the house!  Ms. Froggy and Ms. Bunny, hehe.. ^^ When I was taking the pictures above, I thought that they’d look so cute together! <3

bfffffff

I’ll see you at the next post! ^^

Random Haul + Aloha to my new Pink Eyeshadow!

Hello everyone! How y'all doing this week?? I have to tell you, I feel great!
I'm healthy again..(Thank God..^^)
Actually I'm still having a lil bit of cough, but yesterday my Laoshi (teacher) told me about this great Chinese medicine for cough, so after I drink it, I feel so much better now... Thank you Laoshi! ^^
And now I'm here to share some of my random haul to all of you!
For beauty product, I only bought 2 things, yeah not too much.. One is the Bourjois Eyeshadow Trio in Les Roses..

I love the colour..

I have to tell you, eyeshadow is a new world to me..I'm used to all that face powder, foundation, but eyeshadow is kinda like Armstrong landing on the moon to me.. When it was the first time using the eyeshadow, I was like: *SCREAMING* "Houston, we have a problem!" >_<>
I washed it all out with eyemakeup remover and put my mom's eyeshadow to the corner.. And I said to myself: No, I'm not gonna look to that corner for a while..

I thought so..

But now, I decided to start all over again.. So, now I hereby say ALOHA to my new pink eyeshadow, and welcome to my Makeup "Ohana" (Ohana means family, in case you don't know, watch Lilo & Stitch..^^) I'm still practicing in using this, so be patient with me.. Soon (I hope so), I'm gonna post my FOTD with this pink eyeshadow on.. Just wait and see! muahahahaha.. ^^
Next is the Purederm Masks.I already tried Purederm mask several times before, and I'm liking it.. ^^ It's good to moisturize my face, and this time I bougt the 'Moisturizing Cucumber Pack' and 'Strawberry Yoghurt Pack'. Oh ya, talking about strawberry, I'm planning to do a beauty DIY strawberry mask sometime soon.. I already watch Bubzbeauty youtube video about this mask, and I wrote down all the ingredients, so.. maybe this weekend..^^

Now, to the non-makeup haul.. I recently purchased a great book.. "What Would Audrey Do?" by Pamela Keogh..
And if I say Audrey, yes, I do mean "the" Audrey Hepburn.. ^^ It's a ladies guide to Audrey-inspired living for the modern women.. A very interesting book, I must say.. It's like a self development guide for females, who just dying to be as fabolous as Audrey.. ^^ It's very unique.. hehe.. I'm a big fan of Audrey myself..(duh..that's why I bought this book..^^) so when I see this book, I knew I have to buy it.. Inside there are many beautiful graphics,too.. The illustration of Audrey is so movie-like.. ^^ It's so cute.. Here are the pictures..
I haven't finished reading it, I only read it in a glance by now.. so maybe next time I'll write about the beauty aspect in this book.. ^^
Last but not least, fashion! ^^ Item list: 2 new tops, 2 new necklaces, and 1 pair of earrings.. Major cuteness!! ^^
They were all imported from Korea.. and it's so sweet..especially for the earrings, I can't resist its charm.. Super cute.. ^^
For the necklace, I bought the pearl one..I haven't have a pearl necklace, my collection is all about pendant, never pearl. So I decided to buy this one..
My mom also bought this one with the flower corsage.. Full with colours, hehehe..
Here are the tops that we bought, combined with the necklace.. ^^
So, you see.. My mom's style of fashion is kinda different me.. Me, I'm a pink & white lover, and my mom is more to the colourful choices.. She loves green, purple, blue, brown.. While I'm more subtle; pastel & beige colours is my thing.. I'm Parisian, she's Italian.. More flower and pink to me, while strong siluette and simpler design suits my mom.. But because we share our wardrobes, her style is influencing mine..hehe..^^ Oh ya, we also love Korean style very much.. (must be because all of the Korean drama we watched, haha..) How about you? Do you have the same sense of style with your mom?? Or do you share your own wardrobes?? Tell me about it! ^^
OK, I think that's all for the random haul this time..
Have a great day, everyone..

Review - Bourjois Brush Foundation

I have always shunned the built-in-brush foundations. I was convinced it wouldn't work. Too much product and then trying to work it all in.. Being used to separate brush and blob of foundation on the back of your hand, I was not convinced this modern invention would work very well.

I was wrong.

I have fallen in love with Bourjois Brush Foundation. I tried it in the shop and decided I would buy it. It was pricey (£12) but I thought oh well, could be good, the shade suited my paler autumn face just brilliantly. You will need about 4 clicks of the pump mechanism for your whole face depending on your preferred coverage. The brush is stiff enough to give a good work in and tapered to a edge to lend precision around the nose etc. There are colours to suit most British complexions, but I am the 3rd darkest shade, and I am not particulary tanned at the moment, which means this range does not cater for dark skin tones. But it is amazingly easy to use. I have shelved my old stuff already and getting stuck in with this :) I will post some pictures later on today.

Duo-Tone French Manicure

As there was nothing on tv on Sunday night worth watching I decided to make myself a duo-tone French manicure. I used my fave pink at the moment Rimmel 60sec "Funtime Fuschia" and painted the tips in a bright bubblegum pink from Bourjois. It turned out pretty cool, looks like boiled sweets :)
