New Year's NOTD: Body Shop "Starry Night"

I picked up this beauty in the sales, and decided it would be a fitting New Year manicure! Lets hope 2011 is as special, as sparkly and as magical like this nail polish :)

I had some application problems with this, it's a bit thick and stringy... But if you're not so fussy you would get away with one thick coat, but this is two thin coats and MegaShine top coat. It has a black base with sparkly silver glitter and flakies.

Well I am going to indulge in some coffee before I get geared up for the stroke of midnight!
HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYONE!

NOTD: Rimmel 60sec "Black Out" with Topshop Matte Top Coat

I fancied a matte black for my outfit tomorrow. This is my fave black polish, opaque-ish enough in one quick-dry coat for layering with other polishes such as my Nfu-Oh's. This is two smooth coats of "Black Out" with a slick of the new Topshop Matte Top Coat. More satin than matte, I think but still fantastic.

Terribly sorry for the messy application. The colour and formula is fantastic on this polish, but the brush is a bloody disaster!! Mine is splayed and the rogue straws makes a right mess around my nails when applying it... I have tried trimming with scissor but it keeps splaying out. One day I will get another bottle and hope the brush is better on that :) Nevermind I will pick it off after my shower tomorrow... :)

NOTD: Zoya "Richelle" nail art

So I found myself craving a graphic pattern manicure after fixing my boyfriends computer. I broke out my old gold favourite Zoya "Richelle" and my fave black Rimmel 60sec "Blackout". And a dotting tool! I forget how much I adore "Richelle" :)

This is two coats of each polish over Sally Hansen Nail Quencher with Sally Hansen MegaShine top coat.

NOTD: Color Club "Revvvolution"

This is an awesome nail polish! It's a proper black holographic lacquer, blowing the old OPI My Private Jet clean out of the water :) This is 2 coats over Seche Clear, no top coat, as that tends to scatter some of the holographic effect. It dries really quickly and a little matte like most holos.

NOTD - VirginVie "Bijou Onyx"

I bought this at one of those ghastly makeup parties, used the box (with polishes still inside!) as a stand for my PSP games and forgot all about it. Until today, when I was digging out papers for my mortgage appointment! This little box of jewels contains five mini polishes, a bright metallic purple (Amethyst), a metallic magenta (Tourmaline), a sparkly sheer white (Diamonds), a shimmering red (Ruby) and this gem, Onyx; a black with multicoloured glitter particles. It says on the box "One sweep with these exclusive shades and you guarantee yourself a VIP pass". One sweep?.. As hardened nail fanatic, I scoffed in disbelief and unscrewed the cap. I was amazed. One sweep and I did indeed have glorious multiglitter black goodness.. :) I seriously like! It requires two thick of Seche Vite, this polish literally eats the top coat :( Aside from that, I love this colour, and I wonder what the other colours are like now, Tourmaline catches my eye everytime I open the box with it's magenta shine. Anyway, enough rambling, here's also a pic of the bottle, a tiny 5ml...

I really like this polish, and I am hoping that the rest are just as good :) I vaguely remember buying this gift box about a year ago or more, and have completely forgotten about them, what a crime!! :)
