NOTD: New York Color "Spring Street"

Finally managed to do my nails for the first time in over a week! Please excuse the dark streaks - Nubar Nu Nail is not a good base coat, it creates streaks in ALL polishes I've ever worn over it. However, as I am cat sitting at the moment and it's all I've got, it will have to do! :)

This is 2 coats of "Spring Street", a nice reddish orange from bargainstastic brand NYC. I slapped on some MegaShine and got some free micro-glitter particles from last time it was used... Oh well :)

I sat outside knitting for some of the afternoon enjoying a rare day of sunshine and hot weather. I also did loads of sewing today as well so I've got a sore back, so I am off to have a nice sooting bubblebath. The cat is in a huff with me however as I wouldn't let her jump up in my lap while I was sewing, so best give her some of that crunch cat food before I go off! See ya soon!

NOTD: Misa "Speed of life" with Topshop Matte Top Coat

I've been really ill with some kind of stomach bug during the week but finally recovering! I wanted something bright and matte but I couldn't find what I wanted in my stash without reaching for OPI "La Paz-itively Hot Matte"... So I went for Misa "Speed of life" with a slick of Topshop Matte top coat. Not my most fantastic NOTD yet, but it'll do for tomorrow! Now for trying to find something clothes-wise to go with it... :)

NOTD: Wet n Wild "Inferno"

Wow!! I knew I would love this polish, and I do :) Just the injection of bright colour I need right now. This is 2 perfect coats with a slick of MegaShine on top. Divine! Just look at that incandescent glow! :) The name is very fitting.

Please ignore the massive peely nail on my middle finger :( My index and middle fingers are all peeling really badly still. I am hoping that summer comes soon so I that my hands are less dry and scaly...

Recent NOTDs!

Wow I can barely keep up with my blogging, I'm changing nail polish so often :P I actually pre-ordered my Chanel "Particuliere" today. I must be crazy. But it just looks soooooo lovely - just look at Neglelakkmani's pix!

Anyway, from the top is the lovely new Nails Inc "Seven dials" (I don't get the name... If someone does, please let me know). Usual Nails Inc dream formula, smooth and opaque. And a colour not to be missed - see how it compares to some I thought might be similar but really aren't. Wow, just love this colour :) Bottles from left to right: Orly "Mint Mojito", Nails Inc "Seven dials", Misa "Dirty sexy money" and Barry M "Mint Green".

Second from the top is one of last weeks NOTD; OPI "Bright light big color", a nice and sparkly orange that got me in the mood for spring! This is 3 coats and top coat. Wore like iron, I had it on from Wednesday til Sunday, it's only marginally cracked and that was on my bad peeling nails.

Then last but not least is No7 "Twinkles", this is a nude similar to China Glaze "Innocence" but with multiglitter! Woohoo! :) I majorly smudged this mani however so I had to take it off and do another one, also note the remains of the Suede FX lacquer... Ooops. Not my best moment, so to speak...

Anyway I am off to pen my reviews for this weekend for the Soap&Glory stuff I am addicted to right now - I am having my foot operation on Thursday morning so I am getting verrrrry nervous... Anyhow, see ya'll soon!

NOTD: China Glaze "Fortune Teller"

I love this polish :) There really isn't much else to say. It's gritty and gloopy like a glitter but it's still totally cool!! This is a Sally Beauty exclusive Halloween polish, so not easily come by here in the UK.

This is 2 coats over Sally Hansen Diamond Strength and with Poshe top coat. Woohoo! It has various sizes and shapes of the glitter including some octagonal ones. Amazing. Why this is limited edition I do not know, this should be part of their core line!

NOTD: Rimmel Play Fast "Out of Control"

So I ended up putting on Color Club "Revvvolution" after taking off "Jumpin' Jade" last night. A serious case of nail polish Attention Deficit Disorder. And I just changed it again tonight - to the super-flashy "Out of control".

It's a super-sparkly goldie-red that applies like a dream and dries quickly. This is 3 coats and Sally Hansen MegaShine. Lovely! :) Got this in a swap as well!

Also check out my work colleagues pinkie I did for her Black Watch cruise! :) It's Rimmel 60sec "Blackout" with a pattern with Misa "Pour me something tall and strong" (blue) and Orly Mint Mojito (green).

NOTD: New York Color "Little Italy" with China Glaze "Orange Marmalade"

So I was reading All Lacquered Up's trendy white manicures yesterday and thought, hey, I gotta try some of that white stuff. NYC "Little Italy" goes on smooth and shiny, this is 2 coats here. Once I had it on I decided I needed something more. Oh hello juicy "Orange Marmalade"! Just what I need :)

This type of nail art is easy to do but you need good brushes in your bottles or it might be very messy.

Well, I'm off to watch 'Chuck' on telly (I have a secret crush on the nerd spy!)

NOTD: Collection 2000 Hot Looks "Juicy"

So I was feeling in an adventurous mood and did myself some full cover nails after my client left. I am just not happy with my nails right now, and was desperate for some length. If you are careful in applying full cover nails, they look really great with minimal damage to the natural nail underneath.

These nails turned out to be really good and you can usually find them on eBay or in the drugstores fairly cheap. Next time I might get the oval ones. These have been slightly trimmed shorter, but I think they need some work to become more squoval.

Collection 2000 Hot Looks is a speed-dry nail polish that come in a range of cool colours. This orange jelly has a lovely goldy shimmer to it. It truly deserves it's name! This is 2 coats and Poshe top coat. The formula applies really well. The bottle is small, only 8ml, but it sells for about £2.50. I have not seen this colour lately in the shops though, so I think it might be left overs from a collection last year.

I love the end result here, puts me in a very summery mood! :) Rockin'!
