I can't tell you how excited I was when I saw this top at Urban Outfitters whilst shopping with the bestie last weekend.... I grabbed it, practically jammed it in her face, and squealed, "Oh my God, how cute is this?!?" She took a casual look, nodded, and proceeded to tell me which British blogger she's already seen sporting it... Oh M, always with the British bloggers!

Anyway, I love its casual, oversized silhouette and just how easy it is to wear... I don't care what anyone says, comfort does matter! And the leopard print cross sprawled across it lends just the right amount of edge, no? I'm totally smitten... long live my cross tee!

Hello, lovelies! I hope this post finds you all well... As you might remember, I bought this Zara dress last month when they were having their big boxing week sales. Yet despite loving it so much, I hadn't worn it until this very afternoon... I have this strange habit of buying things and then VERY slowly integrating them into my wardrobe. Maybe it's a subconscious need to keep things pristine or some kind of resistance to change, but it generally happens every time... Hey, we all have our quirks, right?

Hello, my lovelies! I hope everyone had a fabulous Valentine's Day filled with love and chocolatey goodness... I know I did! In fact, I think I ate my weight in sweets-- is that wrong?

Here's a look at what I wore to enjoy a delicious, home-cooked meal with Mr. AIF... and our new kitty! Who, as anyone who has pets would know, is a total attention hog. I guess it's a good thing she's so darn cute...

How was everyone's Valentine's Day? Fill me in! xx

Mr. AIF and I decided to head downtown yesterday to check out the art gallery and buy some mini cupcakes... Seriously, what else are you supposed to eat on a Lazy Sunday? (Get it?) Anyway, we passed a beautiful church along the way and decided to stop and snap some quick outfit shots... I finally got to wear my skirt from Zara that I told you about a few weeks ago, plus an H&M top I bought on sale ($7.00!) before Christmas but had yet to wear. All in all, it was a good, sugar-filled kind of day... Happy Monday! xx

weekend wardrobe...

Just a few (overexposed) shots of what I wore out and about yesterday afternoon... the sweater was a sweet thrift store find that I scooped up for $3 last year, yet somehow it hadn't seen the light of day until this weekend. It's soft and cozy, plus it's long enough to throw on over leggings and not feel scandalous... always a bonus, right? It reminds me of something my mom would have worn in the late 80s/early 90s, complete with shoulder pads (which I ripped out immediately) and a wicked crest detail. What can I say? Some things just never get old...

OK, so I know my shirt isn't exactly "tiger" print (duh), but this just felt like the right title for this post... plus I might be known to annoyingly sing "eye of the tiger" when I win at games like Boggle, Connect Four and cards... gracious, huh? Anyway, I found this top, which I bought well over a year ago, at my parents house when I went home for the holidays... I don't know why I didn't bring it with me when I moved out here, but finding it again somehow felt like seeing an old friend. It's so flowy and comfortable to wear, plus the print is just all-around rad. What can I say? Reunited, and it feels soooo good...
