I’ve found some good anti-aging skin care products at discount prices in the drugstore. You can too if you know how to read the labels (or if you follow Ageless Beauty).
You can read about some of my bargain-priced finds in this article: Drugstore Anti-Aging Skin Care Brands.
I thought I would try another of Dr. Jeffrey Dover’s products because I was quite impressed by his Skin Effects Renewing Effects Intensive Overnight Repair Cream.
I selected the Instant Deep Wrinkle Eraser. I guess what lured me was the pen-style applicator. I thought it might be handy to use. The formula is very simple. It is a silicone-based serum containing skin identical ingredients and antioxidants. Period.
It does sooth and moisturizer instantly, so you do get an immediate effect. If you’re just starting to see the signs of your first wrinkle, this would be good for you. For a certified Age Warrior past age 50, it’s simply not enough.
I would rather spot treat during the day with a peptide-loaded cream or serum and pass on the convenience of a pen applicator. Plus by buying a typical one ounce jar of cream, I get eight times the amount of product compared to what is contained in this pen.
Sometimes what appears to be a bargain really isn’t.
One curious thing: the package states, “contains Hyaluronic Acid, the same ingredient used in dermatologist office treatments, to fill …” but there is nothing remotely related to HA in the ingredient list. See what I mean about the importance of reading the full label?
