[Continued from yesterday.]
Strengthens the Dermal Epidermal Junction Supporting a Firmer Texture
Emollients and NMFs do, in fact, support the DEJ. That and surface hydration are what moisturizers are all about.
In addition to the new NMFs mentioned yesterday, MyChelle replaced Cassia Beta-Glycan found in the old formula with an enhanced cassia plant compound, Cassia Angustifolia Seed Polysaccharide.
Where C. Beta-Glycan acts as an NMF binding water to the skin to plump it temporarily and support its glycan network, the polysaccharide form has the added feature of light reflection to reduce the appearance of lines and wrinkles.
Other Additions to the MyChelle Supreme Formula
MyChelle also added a whole bunch of fragrance oils, several of which are known skin irritants (Ylang Ylang, Geranium, Bergamot, Clary, and Lavender) to the scented version. They countered that by offering a new unscented version without all the oils.
What’s the Same?
Water, Glycerin, Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Tocopherol, Marine Oligopeptide, Honey, Phospholipids, Sphingolipids, Sodium Hyaluronate, Reservatrol, Green Tea Extract (EGCG), Glucosamine, Heavy Water, Totarol, Astaxanthin, Neroli and Rose Essential Oil.
Conclusion
On balance, I would say the new formula is an improved one from a skin anti-aging perspective. Perhaps MyChelle will add the Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 back in its next version. Let’s keep an eye out for that!
