[Read Aylin’s question in yesterday’s post.]
Hi Aylin,
Thanks so much for the positive feedback.
You’re at an age where your body still produces its own moisture and antioxidants, plus sufficient collagen and elastin to keep the skin plump. But production is slowing, as evidenced by the lines starting to appear around your eyes.
Because you still have breakouts and tend to develop clogged pores, you don’t want to use the very rich skin creams designed for older and very dry skin on your entire face. So you’re on the right track by choosing either Avon Clinical Advanced Wrinkle Corrector or Neutrogena Visibly Firm Night as a night cream. If you can’t find them locally, they are available online. Just click on the links I’ve given you here.
Since you say you’ve always had the under-eye circles, I assume they are of the hereditary type caused by thin skin and congestion in the blood vessels under the eyes.*
A peptide-containing eye cream formulated to lighten dark circles would address both the fine lines and the dark circles. Here is an article comparing Hylexin Serious Dark Circles, Prevetnin-AT and Dermactin-TS Serious Dark Circles eye creams.
* For skin darkening caused by excess melanin production, such as in Melasma or Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation, see this article on Cosmetic Treatments for Skin Darkening.
Regards,
Jean
