Sally Hansen Insta-Fix is a great product to tuck into your travel cosmetic case or keep at your desk for nail emergencies.
It’s a DIY nail repair kit in a wand that can tide you over to a professional job. Sally calls it “nail repair on the go”.
The white end of the wand contains nail glue. You’ll recognize the super glue smell; so be forewarned.
The red end contains acrylic powder for filling. Depending on how serious the break or split is, you may be able to skip this step.
If you use the powder, you will need to smooth and buff after the glue dries, just like with acrylic nails.
If possible, remove any nail polish before doing your repair.
Take care in how you open the little bottles. You don’t want to spill glue or powder all over. Also remember, “Glue 1st; powder 2nd”. Follow the package directions carefully. This is the voice of experience talking ;-)
Get thee to a professional manicurist ASAP. This little kit is only for emergency repairs and doesn't stand up to long term use (or abuse) to which nails are often subject.
