• Pulling hair tightly, whether while setting it or for a pulled back style, can also rip hair out by the roots and damage the hair follicle over time.
• Harsh chemicals for straightening, perming or coloring weaken the hair shaft (at least temporarily).
• Heat from curling irons, hot rollers and blow dryers also dry and weaken hair. Combine blow drying with brushing or rolling and you have a double whammy.
