When you don’t have time for a salon manicure or even to soak your finger tips at home to soften and remove cuticles, here’s a fast acting alternative.
Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover contains a high concentration of Potassium Hydroxide, one of the two commonest alkaline caustic ingredients used in rapid acting cuticle remover products. It works; it works fast – but should be used with caution.
Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover uses a gel formulation to help the product stay where you put it. Apply a drop to each cuticle and massage just around the nail. Wait 15 seconds. Push back cuticles with a cuticle or orange stick and wash your hands. It’s that fast! I use a soft nail brush when washing the gel off to help carry the dead tissue away.
This product can also be used to remove calluses. Leave on for a minute and wash off. Again, be sure to apply just to the area of dead dry skin which you want to remove.
If you’d prefer a cuticle remover without caustic chemicals, look for one containing AHAs. They won’t work “instantly” like Sally Hansen Instant Cuticle Remover, but used consistently, will keep cuticles trim and soft.
