Yesterday, I told you Why I Still like Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum. Today I want to talk about two more Olay products we just finished testing.
Olay Total Effects Instant Smoothing SerumOlay Total Effects Instant Smoothing Serum is practically a clone of Olay Regenerist Daily Regenerating Serum - or vice versa. The ingredient lists are identical down to the order in which ingredients appear - except that the Regenerist Serum has three added ingredients: Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4, PEG 100 Stearate (thickening agent) and Sodium Metabisulfate (preservative).
Palmitoyl Pentatpeptide-4 is also known as Matrixyl. It is a collagen stimulating peptide which you can read about in our Cosmeceutical Peptide Glossary.
Both serums contain equivalent amounts of Niacinamide, which has many skin anti-aging benefits. But if you want a bit more anti-aging (collagen) boost, choose the Regenerist Version.
Olay Regenerist Eye Lifting SerumThis formula is very similar to the other Regenerist products we've reviewed/tested. It shares the same silky feel and just glides onto your skin. Several testers commented that it was quite soothing around the sensitive eye area. The soothing effect is due to the inclusion of Allantoin, Green Tea and Cucumber extracts.
Olay Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum contains good concentrations of Niacinamide and Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 collagen-boosting peptide.
Monday, I’ll evaluate two products which claim to “compare to Olay® Regenerist Eye Lifting Serum”.
Tomorrow, let’s go shopping!
