8 Benefits of Microcurrent Anti-Aging Therapy

[This thread about STOP RF and NūFace Microcurrent Home-Use Anti-Aging Wands, started Saturday.]

NuFace Microcurrent Home-Use Anti-Aging WandDr. Lathrop, of Bioelectric Medical Solutions, Inc., explains that microcurrent therapy helps tissues heal and regenerate themselves. Increased bioelectrical activity within the cells makes them more permeable, allowing them to move nutrients and waste products more efficiently. It also replenishes the cells' production of basic fuel (proteins and ATP).

Clinical studies over the past 30 years have consistently shown that microcurrent therapy produces (on average) a:

1. 500% increase in ATP (Adenosine Triphosphate) to fuel cellular activity;
2. 50% increase in the length of new elastin fibers;
3. 45% increase in elastin production;
4. 40% increase in glucose production;
5. 35% increase in blood circulation;
6. 35% increase in the number of blood vessels;
7. 28% increase lymphatic drainage; and
8. 10% increase in collagen thickness.

Medical Microcurrent Therapy
Medical microcurrent therapy or Microcurrent Electrical Neuromuscular Stimulation (MENS), is a treatment for pain (both chronic and acute), muscle spasms, soft tissue inflammation and sports injuries. Treatments are 60 to 90 minutes each.

Any injury to skin or soft tissue disrupts normal bioelectrical pulses and cellular activity. Pain is also a reaction to the disruption of normal electrical flow. MENS mimics the body’s normal pulses and brings them back into line, triggering and enhancing repair and pain relief.

Microcurrent therapy is considered safe for people of all ages, but is not recommended for people who use pacemakers or find electromagnetic fields disturbing. No significant side effects of microcurrent treatment have been reported, though some people occasionally experience dizziness or nausea an hour or two after an hour-long treatment session.
