Thanks for your prompt reply and your sound advice! In all honesty I can't get enough of your site!!

In regards to the eBay purchase, to be honest, initially the fact that the Peter Thomas Roth products were being advertised without their packaging had me thinking too.

But then when I read up on other buyer reviews – something like 15,000 eBay-ers buying cosmetic products all from the same seller and no negative feedback comments – I thought the products are fine and thought we should give it a try and go ahead with the purchase.

It does however make one think how these sellers can get a hold of such up-market products and sell them at a minimum 50% below retail. It’s not like there are only one or two sellers. There are more than 30 [unauthorized] sellers selling PTR products and other well known brands at very cheap prices.

However, your views and skepticism have made me rethink any future eBay purchases of this nature.
