I am a man seeking a male chest reduction. I have had two liposuctions with absolutely zero results and am NOT interested at all in another liposuction. What I need, I’ve been told, is to have the mammary gland removed along with fibofat (?) and an internal chest lift and an excess skin excision. Roughly what does that cost with ALL expenses - facilities, anesthesiologist, etc?

Hi Bob,
Here are some answers from plastic surgeons about the Cost of Male Breast Reduction (or gynecomastia) on RealSelf.com.
The estimates range from $2500 for lipo only to $10,000 for more complex procedures. These estimates probably include only the surgeon, anesthesiologist and facility. So you can expect to pay a bit more for any pre-surgical tests and post-surgical medications required after your release. Some doctors note that the surgery may be covered by insurance.
I can’t give you medical advice since I’m not a doctor, but I can tell you of my recent surgical experience.
Just two months ago, I had rhinoplasty surgery in Guadalajara, Mexico. It cost under $3500 including all tests (lab tests and MRI), hospital (including one-night’s stay in a very nice private room), medications (pre- and post-op), a highly recommended board certified plastic surgeon and an anesthesiologist chosen by him.
In the States or Europe, I expect the total cost would have been in excess of $15,000.
If the idea interests you, read this article about Medical Tourism.
Good luck,
Jean
