Counteracting the Oxidative Stress of Heavy Smoking

[Continued from yesterday.]

Neutrogena SunblockGet as many antioxidants in your diet as possible. Antioxidants in their natural state are well metabolized by the body and carry benefits from other ingredients called phytochemcials. Aim for 7 ½ cups of colorful fruit and vegetables a day.

Topical application of antioxidants has not been implicated in increased disease risk for heavy smokers. So get yourself the best antioxidant cocktail cream(s) you can find. I love
Peter Thomas Roth Mega Rich for its powerful anti-aging blend of moisturizers, peptides and antioxidants.

You might want to consider some of the other high antioxidant anti-aging products on my
Top Ten List:

Revaléskin;
Skinceuticals C+E Ferulic;
Cellex-C High Potency Serum;
Prevage Anti-Aging; and
Kinerase Pro+ Therapy Ultra Rich Night Repair.

Antioxidants work in various ways and in various parts of cells to fight free radical damage. So whether we’re talking of antioxidants from food, supplements or topicals, variety is best.

Be sure to use broad spectrum sun protection such as is found in
Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch SPF 55 or Celazome SPF30 Moisturizer every day – whether you expect to be out in the sun or not.

Any free radical damage you can eliminate through these other steps will help offset the oxidative stress of the nicotine you inhale.

Regards,
Jean
