What Chemicals Could Generate Electrical Energy when Applied to Your Skin?

In chemistry we learned that electricity can be produced by chemical reaction when you have electrodes (of copper or zinc for example) and an electrolyte. An electrolyte is any substance having free ions that make it electrically conductive.

Here’s a little hint for you: Ions of electrolytes are formed primarily by chemical dissociation of sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, chloride, hydrogen phosphate, or hydrogen carbonate.
