Hello Jean,
I am 21 year old and have scars, dark spots, and wrinkles on my face. I want to know about "epidermal growth factor" will it be beneficial for me or not
If yes, what is the proper way of using EGF.
Thank you for your reply,
Mohit

Hi Mohit,
Here is an article about EGF. Here is one about Niacinamide. Both these ingredients are cell communicating agents that help the skin to regenerate in a normal fashion. They may help some.
Also, make sure you use broad spectrum sun protection with an SPF of at least 30 every day. Sun damage is the biggest factor in premature skin aging.
Your skin problems sound quite severe for 21. Could they be genetic? Have close older relatives had similar skin deterioration at early ages?
You can try topical products to see if they help, but I really urge you to see a dermatologist for a diagnosis. If there is some underlying medical condition, perhaps it is treatable. At the least, a doctor can tell you what ingredients, products and/or dietary changes would be helpful.
Be sure to ask the doctor about laser and microdermabrasion treatments to minimize the scars. If they are depressed acnes scars, skin needling may also be helpful. Here’s an article about dealing with Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation that may be helpful.
If you have other questions, please write again. Good luck in your quest.
Regards,
Jean
