[I reviewed the Clarisonic Opal Sonic Infusion System yesterday. Today - the Clarisonic Anti-Aging Sea Serum Dispenser Cap … ] Each Clarisonic Opal Sonic Infusion dispenser cap contains 1/3 ounce of Anti-Aging Sea Serum and should last about a month if used only on the eye area as directed. One drop per eye is all you need for each 30 second treatment.
In fact, don’t think that more is always better. If you try to apply too much, the sonic head will only succeed in pushing the excess around. You’ll have to wipe it away or spread it around the rest of your face after the sonic treatment.
Some complain that the dispenser cap locks you into the Clarisonic serum. That’s a fair comment.
If you prefer another serum or want some specific anti-aging ingredients like peptides or other cell communicating ingredients, the Clarisonic Opal System won’t work for you. The serum does contain a small amount of cell-communicating Niacinamide.
The sealed dispenser cap is opaque. It both prevents contamination and preserves any unstable ingredients which would degrade if exposed to light (especially the case with antioxidants).
Another complaint about the dispenser cap is that it’s wasteful and bad for the planet because you have to replace the whole thing when it’s empty. In my opinion, that’s an unfair comment.
The cap is no more wasteful than containers of other eye serums which come in a 1/3 ounce size. And there are plenty of those in the same price range!
Tomorrow I’ll review the Clarisonic Anti-Aging Sea Serum itself.
