Review of L’Oreal Collagen Micro-Pulse Total Eye Correction System

Review of L’Oreal Collagen Micro-Pulse Total Eye Correction System L’Oreal Collagen Micro-Pulse Total Eye Correction System consists of a ½ ounce tube of eye cream with a battery operated vibrating massager built into the cap.

The Vibrating Cap

I don’t know the vibration rate of the L’Oreal massager in order to make a direct comparison to the Clarisonic Opal Sonic Infusion System which vibrates at 7,500 pulses a minute, but most of our testers found it soothing.

The vibrator may tickle a bit at first. If you find the vibrations too intense, simply decrease the pressure you’re applying. In fact you don’t want to treat the delicate skin around the eye too roughly.

The directions say to:

1. Lightly dab the cream under the eye and over any “crows’ feet” lines;

2. Follow the diagram provided to give a 2 to 3 second massage on each of 5 individual points, moving from the center of the under eye area in toward the nose and then out from the center as shown; and finally

3. Glide the massager gently across the under eye area from the center outward without returning, for 10 seconds per eye.

L’Oreal Collagen Micro-Pulse Eye Cream

Don’t be deluded by the L’Oreal statement that, “The cream is formulated with Erasyl™, an innovative ingredient, which helps minimize dark circle pigments.”

Erasyl is a trademarked name bought by L’Oreal for use in its anti-aging eye products, rather than a patented ingredient like Regu®-Age or Eyeseryl Tetrapeptide®.

The company hasn’t shared any clinical data or information on how Erasyl could minimize dark circle pigments; but we'll look for clues in the ingredient list tomorrow. Please come back.
