As promised yesterday, here’s “the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth” on how I did with my 2010 resolutions.
Looking at “My New Self” image projections which I shared yesterday:
• I exceeded my weight loss goal by two pounds;
• I did regain excellent range of motion through yoga and stretching, but my balance is “only” very good rather than “excellent” as I had hoped;
• I continue to do for myself – lifting items like bags of salt weighing 80 lbs. (If a neighbor or passerby rushes up to help, I politely shoo them away.); however
• The one projection I failed miserably at is “I love doing my exercise DVDs without feeling guilty about ‘stealing’ time for myself.”
I have to figure out where that feeling of guilt comes from and how I can feel entitled to take a little time for myself.
So my anti-aging resolutions for 2011 are to:
• Take time for exercise and not feel guilty about it; and
• Add cardio and endurance DVDs to my anti-aging program.
(There may be a neck lift for me in 2011 as well. At 65, I feel I deserve it. I’m not sure I’m brave enough for another elective surgery though. Stay tuned …)
If you feel like sharing and baring your soul, leave a comment telling us how you did in 2010 and what you plan to accomplish for yourself in 2011.
