New and Improved Cosmetic #2: L’Oreal Double Extend Mascara

Here’s my review of the original version of L’Oreal Double Extend Mascara which was a CEW (Cosmetics Executive Women) Insider’s Choice Beauty Award winner in 2009. Such products are “recognized as the most innovative beauty products of the year, chosen by over 3,600 beauty professionals.”

This new version of L’Oreal Double Extend Mascara is easy to spot. It comes in a flashy red tube while the original comes in a dark blue one.

L’Oreal Double Extend is the first two-step mascara I’ve ever been able to stick with. Most are not worth the extra effort. I love watching my lashes grow before my very eyes as I stroke on the white lash extension “tubes” with nourishing serum.

The flashy red tube version is better in two ways. The consistency is a bit thinner, so the mascara goes on very smoothly and gives effortless lash separation. The mascara is even easier to remove, which is quite a feat for a lash extending mascara.

Kudos to Revlon and L’Oreal for kicking things up a notch. I didn’t think it possible to improve these two wonderful products.
