Two of my favorite cosmetic products have been made even better. I thought they were perfect as they were. How could they possibly be made any better? I even hesitated to buy the new improved versions, but I took the plunge because – hey – that’s my job ;-)
New and Improved Cosmetic #1: Revlon ColorStay Overtime Lipcolor
Revlon ColorStay Overtime Lipcolor has headed up my Top Ten Cosmetic List since the middle of last year.
You may have to search for the new improved version. The package and product look very similar to the 16-hour original. The first thing I noticed was that the lipcolor tube has a rounded tip. I thought, “Hmm, just a new package design.” Then I looked closely at the package copy.
The new Revlon ColorStay Overtime Lipcolor promises only 8 hours of color, compared to the original version’s 16 hours. Are you wondering, as I did, how that could be considered an improvement?
It lasts and lasts like the original; and if 8 hours is enough for your typical day, you’ll love that this version stays smooth throughout the day and is easier to remove. The original can form little “pills” of color that are difficult to remove.
At least for now, the original version is still widely available. I hope Revlon continues to give us both the 8 and the 16-hour options. They’re both terrific!
Come back Monday for my new and improved Cosmetic Pick #2.
