Morning Deer

The deer are back lounging around the yard, spending their nights sleeping in the shadows of the house, and their days soaking up the sun in the southern exposure of our mountainside meadow. As we have settled into our own seasonal routines here at the home we built in Plainfield, we have grown accustomed to the routines of the wild animals in which we share this beautiful land. This time of year we always look forward to the deer’s reappearance. Their continued presence here gives us great joy and we feel fortunate to experience the lives of these untamed beauties at such a close proximity.
