How to Get Rid of Stretch Marks the Natural Way

by Barbara Aloz

Have you ever been embarrassed to wear a bathing suit because you have ugly stretch marks? One way you can get rid of them is to have expensive laser removal treatment. But I believe there are better and much less expensive options out there.
First lets take a look at what causes the skin to stretch in the first place:

Stretch marks can form after losing a large amount of weight either through diet or after pregnancy. One way to prevent them from forming is to not have a large weight gain, of course with pregnancy that is probably not possible. Also if you have dry skin it is susceptible to being stretched more than usual. So one of the first defenses against your skin stretching is to keep your skin well moisturized.

What should you look for in a moisturizer?

Make sure your moisturizer has in its ingredients powerful antioxidants such as grapeseed oil and vitamin E. Grapeseed oil helps to keep your skin hydrated and is effective in helping to remove stretch marks. Vitamin E is another antioxidant which researcher have found to aid in the slowing down of prematurely aging skin and keeping the skin from stretching.

Jojoba Oil is another ingredient to look for in your moisturizer, it makes your skin feel soft and slinky while reducing wrinkles and stretch marks. It helps balance the skin's sebum, which means it moisturizes dry skin and reduces the skins production of oil. Shea butter is another important ingredient to look for, it softens the skin and helps to reduce scars, blemishes and it smooths out wrinkles and stretch marks.

On my website I talk about the above substances and other skin care products that help to keep your skins appearance youthful, and to help you eliminate those unsightly marks due to your skins stretching.
