take away lunch at the beach

calamari and chips for the kids
complete with lemon squeezed by cute 5 year old fingers

and a delicious salad for mommy

baby spinach
roasted pumpkin, red bell pepper, eggplant, zucchini
kalamata olives
with some sort of herby dressing

i was thinking
as i took these photos
that it would be
lovely
to have the ocean as a
backdrop
for all my food photography !!

don't think the family would go for it though
'dinner is ready but i'm just going to whip down to the beach
to take a photo or two ... see you in 30 minutes ?'
probably not

... i may have to plan some beach picnics soon ...
