My last article on wrinkles was about internal factors. Today I would like to focus on external factors that cause wrinkles. Hope you enjoy.
Wrinkles, a dreaded phenomenon of the skin that can make you look older than your actual age. Wrinkling of the skin is a natural process no doubt, but little do people know that there are a few external factors which accelerate the process of ageing and consequently cause wrinkles. Here is a guide to a few causes of the much loathed skin wrinkling.
TOO MUCH OF SUN AND DEHYDRATION
The skin has a natural intrinsic quality of elasticity. This elasticity is provided by the muscles of the skin which constantly aid it in moving and then retaining its original shape and structure. Too much of exposure to the sun can cause these muscle tissues and the essential water in them to dry up. On the long run, this dehydration can lead to a considerable loss in the elastic property of the skin. Skin creasing also occurs when the skin stays too much in water, but this a very common and temporary wrinkling type and should not be paid much attention to.
FREE RADICALS
There are many chemical reactions that go on in the body to keep it functioning. These reactions occur mostly in the muscles that are responsible for movements in the body. Free radicals are by products of these reactions and can cause damage to muscles causing them to weaken. Thus free radicals in the body are also very much responsible for ageing and wrinkling of the skin.
Skin ageing is a natural and inevitable process but it can postponed you are well aware of the causes.
