2009’s second trimester, May through August, has been an absolute whirlwind of activity. I’ve been busy painting, sculpting and exhibiting (both private and gallery exhibitions) but as you can see from the blog, I’ve also been consumed with a multitude of Caden focused summer camps, events and activities. Life has been hectic to say the least! And I do not expect things to slow down any time soon as I have many (what I consider) big events scheduled for the last trimester of the year. Caden’s Rocktacular Birthday Bash is happening in less then three weeks! If you don’t know this already, Caden’s Birthday is a MAJOR happening at our house, involving weeks of planning, shopping, designing, sometimes set building and always a much considered cake creation. Darcy’s Medallion party is September 26th which I am really looking forward to. My much anticipated “WILDFLOWER MEADOW” solo exhibition at AVA Gallery opens October 23rd. In between the aforementioned Second Trimester happenings, I’ve also been working on a new series I hope to complete and introduce at the AVA “WILDFLOWER MEADOW” Exhibition to compliment the presentation of my favorite floral paintings from 2008-9. After the AVA show opens I’ll have to jump into designing and sewing a costume for Caden’s favorite holiday, Halloween. After that, there is the AVA Annual Holiday Exhibition, more medallion parties and Christmas and – oh my! Where does the year go? Well, that’s it for the Second Trimester Review!
