Skin Types

The facial skin is very vulnerable to germs and dirt. The face and its skin coating is an organ that is uncovered throughout the day and hence should be well protected and maintained to healthily survive. The skin type differs from person to person and can be dry, sensitive, oily, or a combination of these. These disparate types have different needs as well. Here is a guide to classify your skin type and accordingly take care of it.

DRY SKIN

This type of a skin has dominant properties of dehydration, lack of oils, and little outlets for waste on the surface. This skin is extremely sensitive to sun and heat. In such a case, the face must be washed twice a day with a rich creamy cleanser and then a toner should be used to cure the stretched feeling.

OILY SKIN

This kind has a typical shine to it due to excessive oil secretion and thus is relatively more prone to acne, pimples and the like. For this type of a face, wash and thoroughly rinse with warm water .The cleanse used should be a non-foaming one. Next use an alcohol free toner to clean off the dirt and other residue.

NORMAL SKIN

Even a normal type of a skin is prone to dirt and infections. Cleansing at least two times a day is a must. Also protect your skin from too much exposure to heat and sun by protecting it with a sunscreen lotion coat.
If you cannot identify your skin type and its characteristic care treatment then you must consult your dermatologist for further assistance.
