Catching Up

Hello Everyone!

Once again I disappeared from the blogosphere!
I’ve been busy with my family; Caden has had a lot going on at school, lots of parties and play dates as well as his insane sports schedule! Caden currently has T-Ball 4 nights a week! We’ve also had a couple of trips out of town, family visits, shopping, the usual, as well as some major landscaping and gardening projects. I’ve also attempted to set aside time for the Wildflower Meadow and sometimes I even find a few minutes to paint! I’ve been working on a personal project since February in-between all of the above so I haven’t had much art-wise to share here on the blog. I have big hopes and dreams for my new series but I’m taking it slow and keeping it to myself for now. Mostly though, I think I experienced a bit of a burn out after the exciting string of art events that took place throughout 2009 and the start of 2010 and have been in desperate need of some time off. Not that I wasn’t thrilled by everything that was happening, I was, but there comes a time to step back. As a result, I’ve decided to take a break from my usual summer exhibition schedule as well as resign my membership from The National Association of Women Artists. I’ve been giving a lot of thought as to what I want to do, where I am going, that sort of thing, so I’ve been fairly quiet here on the blog. But little did I know, our friends and family, while they say they miss seeing my art, seem much more disappointed by the lack of Caden photos and Wildflower Meadow pictures! So… stay tuned, I’m finally catching up and putting up a whole lotta of Caden, Meadow and Landscaping posts TODAY! :)
