Early Sun Exposure Puts Your Skin at Greater Risk

Sun DamageHello,

I am 27 and live in AZ. I have horrible uneven sun damaged skin and deep wrinkles in my forehead and starting around my mouth. I am looking for products to tighten, even skin tone and get rid of wrinkles. I like AHA and no parabens.

Thanks so much,
Jeannine

Hi Jeannine,

If you have as much sun damage as you say at age 27, you should be as concerned for your health as for your appearance.

I hope you’ve seen a dermatologist to check for precancerous lesions. Did you know that some sun damage can be removed by skin peels, microdermabrasion and laser treatments?

In any case, since you were exposed to so much sun at such a young age, you are at higher risk for skin cancer and need to start monitoring your skin with a dermatologist now.

I know that’s not what you asked me about, so I’ll get off my soapbox and answer your question. Lol.

Here’s an article I wrote about Repairing Sun Damaged Skin.

AHAs are a good start toward reversing wrinkles and uneven skin tone.

Of the products featured in my article:

Remergent Advanced Retinol Therapy;
GreatSkin All-in-One Serum;
Reviva Labs’ Brown Spot Skin Lightening Night Cream; and
Murad Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Gel

do NOT contain parabens.

Please take care in that hot Arizona sun and be diligent about applying Broad Spectrum Sun Protection every single day.

Regards,
Jean
