This cheerful batch of Cherry Belle Radishes is the first harvest from our “Potager” garden. These radishes were planted in circular designs around the head lettuce next to the carrots.

The theory is that since the radishes are quick growing plants they make excellent companion plants for slower growing vegetables like carrots and lettuce. It is also said that planting near lettuce makes the radishes more tender.
