Project Sleuth

Caden received his first big homework assignment; something the school calls “Project Sleuth”. The theme for the Kindergartner's was “I’m Me, I’m Special”.

Here is the 3D aspect of the project, Jody and I built the shadow box and Caden created the sculptures out of polymer clay and completed them with acrylic paint:

This was our first taste of the homework experience. We learned that next time we should begin when the assignment is given, rather then the weekend before it is due. :) I think we knew that but you know how it goes. Anyway, the kids had a great time sharing about themselves and learning new things about their friends. The projects were diversely interpreted and a wonder to observe. It was definitely one of those memory making events that we will cherish.
