This was the summer that might go down in the history books as Caden’s Best Summer EVER. The weather was absolutely amazing; we didn’t let a minute of that gorgeous sunshine go to waste!
Here’s what Mr. C did in his 69 fun filled days of summer vacation…
Camps, Sports and Programs:
T-Ball
Swim Lessons
Meriden Community Camp
Elite Hockey Camp
Soccer Camp
Meriden Library Summer Reading Program
At the beginning of the Meriden Library Summer Reading Program Caden challenged himself to read 100 books and surpassed his goal by an additional 115 books, reading a total of 215 books in less then 7 weeks!
Trips, Summer Events:
The Lake
Boston Red Sox Game
Old Orchard Beach Maine
Wells Beach Maine
York Beach Maine
Wild Animal Kingdom
The Opera
Cornish Fair
Duxbury Beach Massachusetts
The In-Between:
Camp Mom [Days filled with drawing, reading, science, gardening, baking, nature adventures, long walks and hill climbing.]
Camp Dad [Evenings of T-Ball, Hockey and Soccer practices, hiking and long walks through the KUA campus]
We really couldn’t have asked for a better summer and I’m truly sad to see it come to a close. I’m going to miss my Wildflower Meadow and the Potager. And worst of all, as much as Caden can make me crazy in our concentrated Mommy and Me time, I already miss him while he is at school. First Grade started August 31st and so far he is loving every minute of it. Soccer started last week and Caden’s annual birthday event is already under construction. We are currently working on the biggest baddest Boston Red Sox Birthday party a soon to be 7 year old boy has ever imagined!!! And there is already talk of this year’s Halloween costume, possibly a Satyr! Oh my! We have created a Monster!
At some point, I hope to get back to my art! In the meantime, I’ll post the First Day of School pictures and maybe later this week I’ll share photos of the stone wall project I’ve been working on – Version 3.0. And yes, expect the big birthday post soon!
